PowPAC Announces Six Plays,
Special Events for
2007-2008 Season
PowPAC, Poway’s Community Theatre, has announced its 2007-2008 season that includes six plays and provides a mix of dramas, comedies and a musical in addition to the traditional special events,” said PowPAC President Sabato Fiorello. “We are particularly excited to be adding familiar shows to our forthcoming season,” he added. “We believe we have planned a season that offers something for everyone,” Fiorello said, “and we look forward to sharing it with our subscribers, friends and patrons.” Artistic Director Debbie David and the PowPAC Play reading Committee reviewed more than two dozen possible plays. . From that group, David recommended six plays to the board that are intended to appeal to PowPAC’s large and diverse following. David said, “We’re really exciting about our forthcoming season. We have a good mix of shows that includes family entertainment, a few adult-oriented shows, a musical and a variety that we hope will appeal to our PowPAC friends and North County neighbors.” Season tickets will go on sale in the spring. an evening of improv and popular PowPAC fund-raiser will be offered March 30,
2008. An Old Time Melodrama, a tradition at PowPAC and
part of the Poway Rodeo Days Celebration, will be performed mid- to late
September. Dates and times to be announced later. Holiday Show, usually first and second weekends in
December. Exact dates and shows to be announced. PowPAC is a 26-year old community theater group that has served Poway and the North County since 1981. Its overall goal is to provide the highest standards of theatrical experiences within the community and to engage and entertain audiences. PowPAC’s productions have been consistently ranked among the top community theaters in San Diego County and have received numbers awards from the Association of Community Theaters (ACT-San Diego) for its excellence. The theater is located upstairs in the Lively Center at 13250 Poway Road, Poway, CA, right in the center of Poway. Handicapped parking and an elevator for the exclusive use of PowPAC are located behind the theater.
