PRESENTS “ME AND MY GIRL”

ON THE MOONLIGHT AMPHITHEATRE STAGE  

VISTA , CA - The Moonlight Stage Productions’ 2007 Summer Season of Musicals Under the Stars continues with the riotously funny rags-to-riches musical comedy “Me and My Girl.”  When a bloke named Bill Snibson finds he is heir to a fortune, he must pass the test of becoming an English gentleman in order to inherit his money. “Me and My Girl” takes to the Moonlight Amphitheatre stage in Vista’s Brengle Terrace Park July 18 and runs through July 29, with a curtain time of 8:00 p.m.  Tickets are on sale now at the VisTix Ticket Office, located at 651 East Vista Way in Vista, by calling (760) 724- 2110, or online at www.vistixonline.com.  

             Newsweek called “Me and My Girl” “one of the freshest and funniest musicals to hit Broadway in ages.”  The show’s most famous number is “Doin’ the Lambeth Walk,” a true anthem to British music hall comedy. 

The hilarious antics of “Me and My Girl” are directed and choreographed by Don and Bonnie Ward.  The Musical Director will be Dr. Terry O’Donnell.  “Me and My Girl” also features lighting designed by Chrissie Munich and costumes coordinated by Roz Lehman.  Sound design is credited to M. Scott Grabau.  

“Me and My Girl” features a talented cast.  Playing the leading role of Bill Snibson is Jamie Torcellini, a native of San Diego , who has played this role in 15 professional productions, including the National Tour.  Jamie has Broadway credits of “Cats” (Mr. Mestoffelees), “Beauty and the Beast” (LeFou), and “Man of La Mancha” (The Barber).  Priscilla Allen of San Diego is cast as Bill Snibson’s Aunt Maria, the Duchess.   Priscilla is an award-winning actress who has performed at numerous San Diego area theatres and most recently was seen in “The Full Monty” for San Diego Musical Theatre.  David McBean is cast as Parchester, the Family Solicitor.  A gifted San Diego actor, David recently starred in “Bunbury” at Diversionary; was seen as Sam in “Fully Committed” for Cygnet Theatre (received a San Diego Theatre Critics’ Circle Award) and Miss Deep South in “Pageant” (for which he received a KPBS Patte Award).  The love interest for Bill Snibson is played by Los Angeles actress Jennifer Bishop, who received her MA in theatre in London .  Her competitor for the affections of Bill is Lady Jacqueline, played by Tracy Lore, who just completed a Broadway and National Tour of “Peter Pan.”  

             “Me and My Girl” runs July 18 through July 29 and performs at the Moonlight Amphitheatre, located in Brengle Terrace Park , 1200 Vale Terrace Drive , Vista , CA 92084 “Me and My Girl” performances run Wednesdays through Sundays at 8:00 p.m.  Amphitheatre seating begins at 6:30 p.m. for pre-show picnics, and curtain is at 8:00 p.m.  Moonlight provides all lawn chairs used in the Amphitheatre, and personal lawn chairs are not permitted.  Blankets, sweaters, and jackets are encouraged for cool summer evenings.  The concessionaire, “Feliccia’s at the Moonlight ,” is open before the show for dinners on the patio.  For dinner reservations, call (760) 758-9167, or fax (760) 758-6315 at least one day in advance.  The Moonlight Amphitheatre is a smoke-free venue.
