ANNOUNCES THE 2007 SUMMER SEASON OF MUSICALS

ON THE MOONLIGHT AMPHITHEATRE STAGE  

VISTA , CA Moonlight Stage Productions announces an exciting 2007 Summer Season of Musicals at its outdoor facility, the Moonlight Amphitheatre, in Brengle Terrace Park .  The 27th Summer Season brings patrons San Diego’s most unique theatre experience with four spectacular favorite musicals under the stars, including “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Me and My Girl,” “West Side Story,” and “Little Shop of Horrors.”  Season packages for the 2007 Summer Season are on sale beginning April 10, and single tickets are available beginning May 22 at the VisTix Ticket Office, 651 East Vista Way in Vista, or by calling (760) 724-2110.  

The Summer Season of Moonlight Musicals opens with Irving Berlin’s “There’s No Business Like Show Business” musical about the legendary Annie Oakley - “Annie Get Your Gun.”  The season opener will be directed and choreographed by John Vaughan and musically directed by Elan McMahan.  The first show of the summer begins at 8:00 p.m. and runs June 27 through July 8.                

               In “Me and My Girl,” audiences will experience the riotously funny musical comedy in which a bloke named Bill Snibson finds he is heir to a fortune, but must pass the test of becoming an English gentleman to inherit the money. Don and Bonnie Ward are set to direct and choreograph this irresistible show, and Dr. Terry O’Donnell will serve as Musical Director. “Me and My Girl” takes the stage from July 18 through July 29, with a curtain time of 8:00 p.m.

               The landmark theatrical masterpiece West Side Story” is the third show of the season.  The world’s greatest love story takes to the streets of New York in West Side Story,” telling a heart-wrenching “Romeo and Juliet” tale as relevant as today.  The show will be directed by Steve Glaudini and choreographed by Carlos Mendoza, with musical direction by Elan McMahan.  West Side Story” will appear onstage from August 15 through August 26, with show time at 7:30 pm.  

               Moonlight ’s final show of the season is the quirky pop-rock musical “Little Shop of Horrors.”  “Little Shop of Horrors” will have the audience “rockin’ and rollin’ the night away” with a blond bombshell named Audrey, a hard-luck kid named Seymour , a gargantuan plant with a soulful voice, and a leather-jacketed dentist. The Director/Choreographer of “Little Shop of Horrors” will be Kirby Ward.  “Little Shop of Horrors” hits the Moonlight Amphitheatre stage on September 5 and runs through September 16, with shows beginning at 7:30 p.m.   

The Moonlight Amphitheatre is located in Vista’s Brengle Terrace Park , 1200 Vale Terrace Drive , Vista , CA 92084 .  Performance evenings are Wednesdays through Sundays.  “Annie Get Your Gun” and “Me and My Girl” will begin at 8:00 p.m.   West Side Story” and “Little Shop of Horrors” will each have a curtain time of 7:30 p.m.  Amphitheatre seating begins 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to show time for pre-show picnics.  Season Packages for the 2007 Summer Season offer up to 25 percent savings over single ticket prices and are on sale beginning April 10 at the VisTix Ticket Office, located at 651 East Vista Way in Vista or by calling 760-724-2110. Single tickets will go on sale beginning May 22 and range from $20-$34 for adults, with discounts for seniors, students, and military personnel.  Single tickets will be available for purchase in person, by phone, or online at www.vistixonline.com.
