VISTA, CA - Moonlight Stage Productions proudly announces the opening of its Winter Season at the Avo with “Bedroom Farce,” Alan Ayckbourn’s hilarious comic romp about relationships. “Bedroom Farce” performs at the Avo Playhouse, 303 Main Street in downtown Vista, from November 2 through November 19. Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays at the NEW time of 7:30 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. Season tickets are on sale now at the VisTix Ticket Office, located at 651 East Vista Way in Vista, or by calling (760) 724-2110. In “Bedroom Farce,” Trevor and Susannah have a problem relationship requiring urgent attention. What better solution than to talk it over with family and friends . . . preferably in the middle of the night! The London Times called “Bedroom Farce” “an enormously funny evening.”
“Bedroom Farce” is directed by Tracy Williams. The role of the British ”Dad,” Ernest, will be played by Charlie Riendeau of Del Mar. Joanne Kissinger of Oceanside is Delia, Ernest’s wife and Trevor’s mother. Landon Vaughn of San Diego is the mischief-maker Trevor; while Allegra Barley of San Diego plays his disenchanted young wife. Thomas Hall of San Diego plays the upwardly-mobile businessman, Nick, and Jillian Frost of Del Mar plays Nick’s upbeat career wife, Jan. Greg Wittman of Carlsbad will appear as the energetic “home improvement” handyman husband,” Malcolm. Aimee Nelson of Carlsbad will play Kate, Malcom’s sweet wife.
Marty Burnett serves as scenic designer/ builder for “Bedroom Farce.” The production also features lighting designed by Paul A. Canaletti, Jr. and costumes coordinated by Roslyn Lehman. Properties and scenic dressing are coordinated by Bonnie Durbin.
“Bedroom Farce” performs November 2 through November 19 at the Avo Playhouse, 303 Main Street, Vista, CA 92084. Season tickets are on sale now, and single ticket sales begin on October 17. Ticket prices include facility and ticket service fees and are $23 for adults, $21 for seniors/students/military personnel, and group discounts are available. Friday Night Forums are scheduled to follow each Friday night performance. These provide the audience with a chance to meet the actors for questions and discussions after each Friday night show.
The Moonlight at the Avo Winter Season continues next with the madcap British comedy “Hay Fever” from February 1 through February 18. “I Do! I Do!,” the musical about a marriage, will take the Avo stage from March 1 through March 25.
