It's A Wonderful Life will be performed as a live radio play. It is 1947, and the classic It's A Wonderful Life is being performed as a live radio show before a studio audience. Inspired by the beloved American film, the show features a versatile cast of actors, live sound effects and festive Holiday music. Frank Capra's holiday classic was adapted by Joe Landry to alleviate the huge strain this production placed on the Westport Country Playhouse's budget. The cast of It's A Wonderful Life take on the variety of characters within the original production and the foley artist provides the auditory background that bring the show to life. The audience even becomes an essential element in the production as the live studio audience. It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is a great family play that allows the audience to experience this holiday classic in a new way. It's A Wonderful Life runs December 2nd through 24th, 2006 with two low-priced previews on November 30th and December 1st. Performances are at Cygnet Theatre, located conveniently in the College area, at 6663 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego, CA 92115 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm and 7pm.
